This is a huge year for many of my friends as their second kids graduate high school, and embark on college journeys while their parents begin life as empty nesters. I’m so happy for them—it’s been an honor to watch their children grow up these last 17 years. How are they not still the little kids happily running around the pre-K playground at P.S. 58 in Brooklyn?
It’s also bittersweet for me to watch this happen. It’s something I always thought I’d experience with Michael. While everyone else’s future seems clear mine feels more uncertain than ever.
