Day 4,572: Nabisco Chocolate Snaps
a homemade version of a store-bought childhood treat
I came across the below post while transferring conten from my old site. I wrote it back in February 2011, the last Valentine’s Day Michael was alive. I still feel this same exact way when I think of him. He wasn’t perfect. I wasn’t perfect. Together we weren’t always perfect but as I often say, we were imperfectly perfect together.
Our relationship reminds me a lot of the relationship I have with myself lately. It’s about loving all the sides of a person, including yourself. I haven’t quite cracked the code on this one. It’s still a work in progress but something I keep working on, mostly for myself but also so our daughters see a healthy example of how to love themselves.
